Here we are in week 16 and 💯 days in lockdown - what a piece of history we’re living through.
In the Bible, Paul writes to a church to explain all the amazing things we can do in times of trouble. I just love how relevant and ahead of the game this is!
"Brothers and sisters, we urge you to warn those who are lazy. Encourage those who are timid. Take tender care of those who are weak. Be patient with everyone. See that no one pays back evil for evil, but always try to do good to each other and to all people. Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:14-19
If you find praying hard, don't give up! Prayer isn't complicated: it's just talking to God, our heavenly Father who loves us and is interested in everything that's on our mind. Did you know you can talk to God about anything!
You can pray at home, in your bedroom, in the shower, on the bus, walking through the park...You can write down prayers, pray out loud, pray in your heart... you can pray at the same time every day (so you don't forget!) or at different times each day ... you can pray for your friends, pray for your family, pray for the world, tell God what's troubling you, ask for help, write down answered prayers to encourage your faith... so many ideas!
It doesn't matter how we pray - the important thing is that we keep talking to God.
We're so sorry that Reach isn't able to re-start yet, but we look forward to the Fun Night on 14th July - it will be great 👍
