One day at a time

Updated: May 25

Hi all, welcome to week 9. You’ve all done amazingly well to get here.

I’m sure you’re all wondering about school and if you’ll get back? How do you feel about that? Please tell us!

I find it easier to cope by taking one day at a time. Jesus says, “who by worrying can add a single hour to his life?” Reading about Jesus has brought me so much peace in these times. Keep reading, and praying - God loves you and is interested in everything you have to say to Him.

A newspaper headline said BRITISH PUBLIC TURN TO PRAYER AS 1 in 4 TUNE INTO RELIGIOUS SERVICES ONLINE and the subtitle said YOUNG PEOPLE LEAD RESURGENCE IN FAITH. Wow! How amazing is that!

On Friday's INSPIRE live stream, 11 young people shared things they’d done and learnt during lockdown. Abi shared how she’d been reading her bible every night with the help of the Bible App. It's free and has easy-to-read plans on many different topics - I cannot recommend it enough!

We also heard Stephen talking about his family in Italian which he’s taught himself in lockdown - it was pretty incredible 👌👏 Katie had made an airfix model of a Spitfire - so good for VE Day. Rose is incredibly artistic and had made a model of her Grandma's house and some really classy cards she was going to send out to cheer people up. Theo and Melody sent fantastic videos in, which have been uploaded to the Connect webpage.

Please keep smiling, trusting in the Lord and staying in contact to bless others and yourselves.

We miss you!

Alison and all the Reach Leaders x

p.s. it's never too late to join in with Connect, every Friday at 7:30pm!
